Approach:
1. Understand the situation and identify areas of improvement
A dedicated team of specialists works with a team or a project lead from the client to implement the "performance management" methodology. The team begins by analyzing the strategic situation, operations and various positions of the P/L (cost of sales, rights, organization, sales/marketing, technology, etc.) und balance sheet in order to identify areas of improvement. The key performance indicators are gathered/measured and compared with relevant benchmarks from the Skillnet market intelligence database.
2. Develop restructuring concept and identify tools for perfomance improvement
Based on the results of the analysis, a restructuring concept will be developed, that targets relevant levers of improvement to the business. The restructuring business also defines top-down improvement objectives that ensure to heal the crisis and help the management to measure the implementation against. Based of the restructuring concept various tools for performance improvement are identified, quantified and put together into a detailed set of measures. The impact on operating result, long term assets, and required investment is taken into account and a business case is drafted.
3. Design and implement an effective improvement/restructuring program
Based on the defined measures, an overall program for implementing the performance management is designed. The program will focus on "quick wins" as well as on mid/long-term impact. Roles and responsibilities and clear leadership are defined and an objective-driven implementation controlled with clearly defined milestones is established and supported by our external support team. An on-going and detailed implementation controlling along with a change management help to implement the program effectively.
